The Tora Mk2 kukri (which was in production in its various forms from 1915-1944), generally has a 34.5cm long blade with a belly of approx 6 cm and a rough weight guideline of 625-700 grams. It has a full tang wooden handle and comes with a military scabbard, frog, tinder pouch and 8.5cm chakmak and karda utility knives.

Click here to see the video description.

Tora kukri are traditional handmade kukri, made in Nepal, and not the usual export and tourist kukri found on many other websites. Tora strives to make kukri to the traditional specifications as per the original models.

For an easy way to sharpen your kukri please watch this video.

We strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use.

Please note that because all of our kukri are hand-made, variances in size, weight, wood colour, chakmak & karda style etc may well occur. You must be 18 yrs and over to purchase any knife or sword.

Please note that the kukri are now sent directly from Nepal.

Awesome!!

My Mk2 finally arrived and was well worth the wait. It's very nice with the beautiful wooden handles and Butt cap and that awesome blade. I can't wait to get out and do some chopping. It even had the nail which the kami chopped in half to test the blade in the tender pouch on the back of the scabbard behind the nice little karda and chakmak. Overall a very nice piece of kit. Thank you Simon and the Kami's and the Tora staff. I can't wait to acquire my next Tora Kukri.Douglas Reed (Aug 11 2022, 22:19 PM)

Best I’ve seen

It was a long wait after a pre order was made. Out of the box this Mk2 khukuri is the best I’ve seen! I own several from other brands all good but not in the Tora class. The fit and finnish is perfect and it handles well. It is also bloody sharp! I am honoured and proud to own one. Thank you Tora. Also the fine work from all Kami at Tora well done!Jozef Kantor (Jan 06 2022, 20:21 PM)

Don't go any further ! You want a real, well balanced, light, razor sharp, easy to maintain, tough and efficient kukri ? You got it ! I own 4 different kukris and none of them can be as good as Tora ! Tora kukris are by far the best ! They're well made in the ttraditionnal way ! Thank Simon and all the kamis ! This tool is a Master piece ! A brute of work, confortable, light and so useful ! It's so handy for detailed works or for heavy tasks ! Love it ! Will soon by one old fashion like WWWII...Pimoos (Jan 21 2021, 18:36 PM)

Truly a well crafted blade

When it finally arrived, I couldn't wait to see what my shiny new knife could chop, so off to the backyard, I went. To my surprise, it chunked right through thick vines and hardwood saplings roughly an inch and a half in diameter with a single pass, right out of the box. Another twenty minutes of swinging like a madman left all of my stubborn briar patches in heaps ready for the bonfire. Playtime was over, and I took it inside. I was happy to see that it still shaved the hair off my arm and sliced through sheets of paper with ease. I also noticed that my forearm wasn't aching like it typically does when I do the same kind of work with my machete or parang. There must be an advantage to the weight forward design. Mine weighs in at exactly 575 grams, which makes it very wieldable, in my opinion. I've had Khukuris from a couple of other manufactures in Nepal, but they didn't come close in terms of quality, I'm no expert, but that's how I see it. If you're looking for an authentic, well made Khukuri, then look no further. You're in the right place.David Battige (Mar 06 2020, 00:36 AM)

Tough user kukri!

The Mk2 I received has been in my collection for a year now. It has become my go-to kukri for bush use, thanks to the tough full tang and weight. It's light compared to the sharpened prybars offered by other kukri houses, but at 22oz. it'll do all the things I use a kukri for and still be light enough to carry on a belt. The handle on mine is utterly perfect for my hand (men size large) and very, very comfortable. If you're looking for a kukri you can chunk some wood with all day long out in the woods or the back yard, this is the one. Dan Dunlap (Mar 25 2018, 21:08 PM)
