Welcome to Tora Blades where you will find a fine array of traditionally made Nepalese Kukri.
It has been Tora's aim to replicate fully functional traditional Nepalese utility models and old British Gurkha Battalion and Ordanance models, which were designed to suit the needs of a Military man.
Due to the ever increasing hassle of dealing with customs and the ever more finicky English Post Office we are now sending the kukri direct from Nepal upon the completion of a pre-order batch.
March 2017 UPDATE - Following the earthquakes in Nepal in April and May 2015, Tora Kukri is back up and running. However, please be aware that lead times in the production of kukri can and will take longer due to transport difficulties following the devastating earthquakes which has made the supply of materials such as wood, horn, leather and coal very difficult. Some of our kukri are made in what was one of the most hard hit areas and most of our kami and manager lost their homes. Many of them are still living in temporary accommodation. Tora along with many of our loyal customers helped to support our kami and manager along with there families during the aftermath and continue to help when you buy a Tora kukri.
If you have placed an order for a GK Kukri between 1st October 2016 - your kukri is currently in production. The other 50% we hope to have complete around end of April/May 2017. This is due to circumstances beyond our control. To enquire if your order is in the 1st or 2nd 50% - please email email@example.com
