Tora kukri are traditional handmade kukri, made in Nepal, and not the usual export and tourist kukri found on many other websites. Tora strives to make kukri to the traditional specifications as per the original models.

For an easy way to sharpen your kukri please watch this video.

We strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use.

Please note that because all of our kukri are hand-made, variances in size, weight, wood colour, chakmak & karda style etc may well occur. You must be 18 yrs and over to purchase any knife or sword.

Please note that the kukri are now sent directly from Nepal.

If you look for your first Tora, just pick the one you like the most. All of them are amazing: I own some nice long blades, historical style. I got my first khukuri and the shape of the blade intrigued me a lot, but it was so heavy. I learned that I bought a tourist khukuri. It did not take long for me to get to Tora. This Angkhola is my first Tora. Since it arrived, not one day passes without me holding the magnificent blade. The looks, the shape, the feel and the potency. It really calls to pick it up. I also realized that for me, this type of knife is the best shape ever made. I like f.e. Scottish Dirk and they were fearsome and handy too. But when you hold a khukuri, you can imagine that any opponent was seriously impressed. The only modern khukuri that gives this feeling and impression is a Tora. Based on the original khukuri, the Tora blades are supreme. One does not have to go and fight to enjoy these blades. Cleaning up the garden with my Angkhola satisfies me a lot too. Very well balanced, no hot spots on the handle and very sharp (and stays that way). Excellent materials and finish. One warning, but “Tora-people” don’t mind at all: you will get addicted!! My second one is already on the way. I have a few other blades in mind, for some time now; but I can simply not order them. When I want to, I always get back to this site and…there has to be a spell I guess. But, you get one of the best khukuri in the world and that is a fact! And the Tora compagnie is amazing, helpful, kind, lots of info and… lots of khukuri.Filip Vrijders (Jul 17 2022, 13:02 PM)

The only one I'll ever need

I purchased this near the end of 2020. It has become my favorite bush knife. I have used it for carving, planing, shaving, and batoning wood. I have cut brush and firewood with it. It has stayed sharp and has not had any edge deformation even when chopping through wood that I later found had a nail in it. I am comfortable relying on this knife for my safety and well-being. I will be getting several more for my sons.Jonathan Hallam (Jun 03 2022, 20:41 PM)
