Product Information

Please note you are placing a pre-order for this kukri.

It has taken Tora 5 years and countless samples to have this kukri reproduced but finally it's here and our KTM kami have done themselves proud. I've only ever seen 2 of this type of kukri, one which had a 1917 stamp. We now believe these to have been made for either Gurkha or British Gurkha Officers.

The WW1 Goorkhali has a blade length of 37cm and a belly depth of 5cm. It comes with a military scabbard, enclosed tinder pouch and military style chakmak & karda utility knives with 8.5cm blades, and rough weight guide of 550-625 Grams

Tora kukri are traditional handmade kukri, made in Nepal, and not the usual export and tourist kukri found on many other websites. Tora strives to make kukri to the traditional specifications as per the original models.

For an easy way to sharpen your kukri please use this link.

We strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use.

Please note that because all of our kukri are hand-made, variances in size, weight, wood colour, chakmak & karda style etc may well occur. You must be 18 yrs and over to purchase any knife or sword.

Please note that the kukri are now sent directly from Nepal.

WW1 Officers Goorkhali

Fantastic blade. Very straight and sharp. This is a far reaching Kukri, but feels very light in the hand, considering the length of blade. The curve of the blade is very pronounced, so it might take a little while to get used to, but this thing feels and looks like a proper weapon! Highly recommended! (Nov 25 2020, 17:36 PM)
