Please note - you are placing a pre-order for this kukri.
The Tora Tamang kukri is replicated from an original kukri belonging to a close friend of ours which was showed to us whilst we were in Nepal during February 2017.
The Tamang (Ta=horse, Mang=trader in Tibetan) people typically live in the high hills of the Kathmandu Valley and originate from Tibet. They are often seen wearing a kukri stuck in the potuka (waist sash). This Tamang kukri is a typical villager kukri for general utility work.
The Tora Tamang kukri has a partial tang wooden handle, blade length of approximately 35cm, belly depth of 4.5cm and a weight guideline of 525-600g. It comes with traditional Nepalese scabbard with Tinder Pouch, a 12cm bladed Karda and traditional style chakmak.
