The Prestige Angkhola is one of 4 kukri in the Prestige Range. The Angkhola is based on a WW1 Era Officers Kukri, the type associated with the high-quality kukri being made in Kumaon. There is a picture of a 1/1st Gurkha Rifles Subedar wearing a kukri of this type in France. There are also other examples of this kukri in various museums from WW1.
This stunning Kukri has a 34cm long blade with a single fuller (angkhola) and a rough weight guideline of approx 550-625 grams. The stick tang handle is made from Buffalo horn with decoration and both the butt cap, band around the handle and Chape have been made by a Nepalese Sunar (Nepalese Silversmith). It comes with a military scabbard and frogs with Tinder Pouch and 8.5cm high-quality Chakmak and Karda utility knives.
Tora kukri are traditional handmade kukri, made in Nepal, and not the usual export and tourist kukri found on many other websites. Tora strives to make kukri to the traditional specifications as per the original models.

We strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use.
Please note that because all of our kukri are hand-made, variances in size, weight, wood/horn colour, chakmak & karda style etc may well occur.
You must be 18 yrs and over to purchase any knife or sword.
Please note that the kukri are now sent directly from Nepal.
