Specification
Tora's Dui Chirra (double fullered) Dehra Dun Kukri is a very fine kukri copied from a Kothimora kukri of the type the 2nd Gurkhas used for their Kothimora Kukri in the 1920's. We also know that Single Fullered (Angkhola) were carried by some Chindits in WW2. The Kukri comes with a 33.5cm long Double Fullered (Dui chirra) Blade and a belly depth of 6cm. It comes with a horn stick tang handle with brass fittings. (Please note that only 1 kukri is provided, not 2 as shown in the main photo which is for display purposes only!).

It comes with military-style scabbard with chakmak & karda utility knives. The rough weight guidance for the is 555-625g.

Tora kukri are traditional hand made in Nepal, and not the usual export and tourist kukri found on many other websites. Tora strives to make kukri to the traditional specifications as per the original models.

For an easy way to sharpen your kukri please watch this video.

We strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use.

Please note that because all of our kukri are hand-made, variances in size, weight, wood colour, chakmak & karda style etc may well occur. You must be 18 yrs and over to purchase any knife or sword.

Please note that the kukri are now sent directly from Nepal.

Superb looking and beautifully made. The nicely mottled horn handle, set off by the shiny brass rings, along with the twin fullers, make for a very fine looking khukuri indeed. Scabbard, Karda & Chakmak also excellent quality. The handle is slimmer than some, which along with the substantial blade mean you can feel the heft, despite its moderate weight, all no doubt representing the feel of the original it’s based upon. DHL delivery from Nepal was problem free and took only 4 days. Such quality workmanship for such a reasonable price is rare and I’m very pleased.John (9 Apr 2022, 14:16)
