We are delighted to present the Bhujel kukri.

This kukri is a replica of the kukri owned by our very own manager of Tora Blades in Nepal. The original kukri was originally owned by Ravi's Great Grandfather who served with the Royal Nepalese Army and is approx 160 years old.

Older version's of the Bhujel kukri had a partial tang wooden handle (as per the orginal kukri), but from June 2023 onwards the Bhujel will come with a stick tang handle with diamond keeper.  It has a Hollow Forged blade length of approx 36cm, Belly depth of just over 6cm and comes with a 12cm bladed Karda knife and traditional style chakmak. It has a weight range of 675-750g.

See video footagehere of the Bhujel Kukri being made during our visit to Nepal in Feb 2017.

Click here for video description and here for updates to Bhujel.

Tora kukri are traditional handmade kukri, made in Nepal, and not the usual export and tourist kukri found on many other websites. Tora strives to make kukri to the traditional specifications as per the original models.

For an easy way to sharpen your kukri please watch this video.

We strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use.

Please note that because all of our kukri are hand-made, variances in size, weight, wood colour etc may well occur. You must be 18 yrs and over to purchase any knife or sword.

Please note that the kukri are now sent directly from Nepal.
