Product Information

Please note you are placing a pre-order for this kukri.

Tora's replica of the Kotli Loharan Battalion kukri is based on a WW1 Battalion Issue Kukri made in Kotli Loharan.  Kotli Loharan was in North West India (now Pakistan) and kukri made by the Lohars (ironsmiths) were very sought after due to their high quality.  They are known to have made Battalion kukri for the 8th Gurkha Rifles in WW1.  We know that this kukri was issued to the Gurkha's with the odd one turning up with regiment and battalion and service number marking.

The blade length is 32cm, belly depth is 5.5cm.  Rough weight guidance on this kukri is 475-550g.  This kukri comes with chakmak & karda utility knives and also a tinder pouch. This kukri has a stick tang wooden handle with metal butt cap with 2 screws going back into the handle.

We strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use.

Please note that because all of our kukri are hand-made, variances in size, weight, wood colour etc may well occur. You must be 18 yrs and over to purchase any knife or sword.

Please note that the kukri are now sent directly from Nepal.
